Ester’s Story

Before moving to Sandpoint, this tiny tap truck worked as a Boeing campus utility vehicle. In 2021, Matchwood co-owner, Kennden, rescued her on an online auction and offered her a new job — tiny tap trucking! After a quick visit to the detail shop, some cosmetic upgrades, and a tap system install— she is ready to join you at your next event.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT ESTER

How big is Ester? Measuring in at approximately 4’ by 10’ and running solely on electric power, her footprint is tiny but she is always the life of the party.

Can Ester be rented for indoor events? Ester can be rented for both indoor and/or outdoor events. Our team likes to visit venues in-person or virtually to ensure Ester can fit in the space requested.

How far can Ester Travel? Ester’s is a road worthy vehicle and has an electric radius of approximately two miles before needing a power nap. However, Ester has a trailer and can travel much further to special events or to locations with trailer-friendly terrain. Ester is built like a golf cart and is safe for non-paved surfaces such grass, greens, and turf, too.

Can Ester Sleepover? Yes, but only if we know she will be safe and taken care of properly. There are additional fees for overnight rentals.

What does Ester mean? In addition to being the most adorable name ever, Esters are the largest group of flavor compounds in alcoholic beverages, generating fruit aromas in beer.
